Reddi Wip’s new Coconut whip cream is missing something

So…my birthday was yesterday (I am officially ancient), and my mother made me cheesecake. I love cheesecake and I decided to indulge a little bit. Usually, with cheesecake we use whip cream for a fabulous topping but this time we decided to go with Reddi-Wip’s coconut whip cream. It is non-dairy so we decided to give it a shot!

Before we get into the full review, I wanted to let you guys know that I couldn’t give this product good review ratings simply because this product does not work correctly or as advertised. I’ll tell you more about that below.

The biggest bummer is, you can barely get this stuff out!

Beatrice Foods Inc needs to take this product off the shelf and find a way for this stuff to get out the can. It doesn’t last, and you can only manage 5 sprays before the product is gone.

*Update: my mother called the company they gave us a coupon, however, when we used the new product the same thing happened! I would avoid this product until the manufacture regroups and tries again*

Reddi Wip’s coconut whip cream at a glance.

TASTE

The taste is delicious! I say it tastes better than the original Reddi wip. The flavor is light and airy with a hint of coconut. It is not as dense or as full in flavor like coconut cream or coconut milk. In fact, if you eat it with something, you can barely taste the coconut!

Texture

This whip cream is not as thick or as stable as dairy whipping cream or Reddi wip. The original Reddi wip is firm and it makes a beautiful sound when it comes out. The cream shapes to the bottles snout and holds shape. This coconut whip cream does not hold shape. It is flimsy and becomes watery over time.

AFFORDABLE

This product will run you about $3.50. I don’t think it is a bang for your buck because you simply can not use it after a few uses.

Will I buy again?

Only if the manufacturer changes how the product comes out!!!!!!

Better for you than Dairy?

It might be slightly better for you than Dairy whip cream, but it is still highly processed and it is a dessert. Save this sweet treat for your birthday or a special occasion!!!!!

Fitsavvy Tip: Instead of buying this, buy canned coconut milk or coconut cream. Refrigerate overnight. Open top, scoop the top off and whip with a tablespoon of coconut sugar or brown sugar and there you go! Minimal processed non dairy whip cream!!

Thanks for reading,

Fitsavvy
